1 p.m. & 4 p.m.
Cynthia greeted the public and librarians from several branches of the Springfield Library system alike during two book signing and Vampire Literature discussions at the Forest Park Library in Springfield, MA.
Reggie Wilson, the branch manager, put together a wonderful event, starting with a lecture by himself about Bram Stoker followed by a comparison to both the works of Anne Rice and to "Bound by Blood," with input and a Question and Answer session with Cynthia following.

On January 24, 2004 over thirty-five people helped celebrate the publication of "Bound by Blood" at an intimate party at CityStage Theater in Springfield, Massachusetts. Candles, blood red roses, and soft, gothic music set the scene for Cynthia’s debut book signing.
For two hours, Cynthia greeted guests, signed books, and discussed her writing with all the fans, friends, and family present. Attendees traveled from as far away as New York, Rhode Island, Southern Connecticut, and Eastern Massachusetts to be present on a bitterly cold Saturday night in the 'dead' of winter.
Dennis Perrault, House Manager for CityStage and his staff of volunteers generously donated their time for this event. Food was provided by Cobalt Restaurant & Night Club, and deliciously prepared by Tom Nelson, the Executive Chef. Guests enjoyed a fruit and cheese plate as well as Cobalt's famous 'Cajun Sweets' sweet potato chips. Special thanks go also to Heather Tripp for help with book sales.

On January 30, 2004, Cynthia appeared at Barnes & Noble in Enfield, CT with fellow horror writers Jessica Barone and Corrine DeWinter. More than 30 people gathered to hear the three women speak about why they choose to write in the horror genre, and answer questions about this career.
After the Q & A session, Cynthia and the others signed copies of their books and chatted with those who had come out to see them. Special thanks to Roy Szoka, the Community Relations Manager at Enfield B&N for helping make this a memorable event!
